WorkshopICW Continues to Develop its Vision for the FM Sector

In August, following discussions with BIFM's Strategic Development Manager, we presented proposals for a one-day awareness workshop for facilities managers, entitled 'Enhancing Collaborative Working in Facilities Management'. We look forward to developing materials for this first collaborative step, based upon the leading-edge experience of key ICW members in the sector.

In September, ICW was invited to attend the BIFM International SIG AGM, held at Polycom's London HQ. Following the usual formalities, the AGM continued with a stretching introduction to the IoT, entitled 'Enabling Positive Experiences: The Web of Things', delivered by Ali Nichol of Iotic Labs - an IoT research start-up. The invitation was a result of David Hawkins' successful presentation to a BIFM ISIG meeting, the last autumn.
