Welcome & Introduction

Welcome to this first 2018 edition of Collaborative Insight, featuring the highly successful Collaboration & Innovation event sponsored by Altran, at Imperial College, London.

ICW was particularly pleased for this event to feature the innovative aspects of a number of the ICW Collaboration Awards winners from the December awards ceremony.

The Imperial College lecture theatre worked well, hence it will be the location for the next ICW themed event addressing the Digital Economy sponsored by Leidos on 12th July. This is preceded by the annual House of Lords Collaborative Working reception on 10th May, and the ICW Individual Members conference at the Lansdowne Club on 24th May.

The final ICW themed event of 2018 is focussed on Smaller Businesses, sponsored by Kier, who have a leading-edge approach to smaller business engagement - details to be confirmed.

The Annual ICW Collaboration Awards ceremony takes place at the House of Lords on 13th December rounding off another full year.

Readers are encouraged to take note of the above dates pending formal invitations from Alan Maund.

The ICW ISO 44001 Collaborative Leaders course held at Warwick University continues to be one of ICW's most important Training offerings. Since the publication of ISO 44001 in March 2017 demand for places on this course is growing significantly.

Readers will note from this publication some new ICW faces involved in the delivery of this course. Leigh Lawry is now the main course tutor having taken over from Neill Carruthers who has run the course for a number of years (thanks Neill). Paul Greenwood has succeeded John Osborne to lead the overall ICW Training business – John has retired to spend more time with his family (and his camper van)!

Finally I am pleased to report that ICW has closed another successful year at the end of March with good revenue growth and a modest surplus in keeping with our "Not for Profit" status.

ICW thanks our growing collaborative membership community for their participation and support throughout the year.

Here's to another good one!

Best wishes,

Les Pyle
